December 29, 2003
As its first season came to an end, the Oregon Poker Tour held its last event of the year at the same house it held its very first event: the house of Co-founder Tim Dugan. For some, it was just another opportunity to add more money to their total winnings for the year. For others, it was one last chance to win a tournament in 2003. Trying to finally win a tournament, Amir Kardi came to play, but Brent Pirolli was also looking to take down his first win. However, Drew Wood also entered the fray, looking to win his first OPT Tournament. Co-founder Dugan looked to win his second tournament, while Co-founder Shortridge showed up to spoil everyone's plans. Who would win the game?

The Winner ($12.50)

Brent Pirolli
Pirolli finally picked up his first win in what turned out to be his last poker game of 2003.
Brent might have been finished for the night, but the other players were just getting started. Jerry Pickering entered the fray, looking to take down his first official OPT victory. With the winner of the last game now playing Playstation 2, who would take the victory?

The Winner ($12.50)

Co-founder Tim Dugan
Seemingly only able to win a tournament when he's playing in his own house, Co-founder Dugan took his second victory of the year.
Leaving the game was Drew Wood, but entering the action was both Ray Welch and Josh Cowen. Ray was looking to grab second place in the OPT leader board standings, while Josh was looking to put Ray farther behind him. The night's action heated up as Shortridge took out both Ray and Dugan in one hand. Would that momentum take Luke to victory?

The Winner ($15)

Co-founder Luke Shortridge
Luke pushed everyone else out of the game and took the victory for himself.
Co-founder Dugan became too tired to play again, and agreed to deal for the other five players as they all wanted to play one last game. It was both Amir's and Jerry's last opportunity to win an official OPT tournament for 2003.

Amir Kadri
Amir went up heads-up against Co-founder Shortridge and won the last OPT game of the year.
And then, the Oregon Poker Tour closed up for the year, looking forward to its first real season of play starting in 2004. Who knows what will happen in the upcoming year?
