Brent Pirolli's Bachelor Party:
May 10 2004

Only a week after his graduation would Brent Pirolli marry Sarah Kuntz . . . which meant his friends had to (by way of tradition) celebrate his last moments of life as a single man. This brought everyone together at the house of OPT Co-founder Luke Shortridge for a night of poker. While the event was not an OPT event, meaning none of the stats would count towards the OPT leader board, the air was still thick with competition. The first game had eleven players, creating a total prize pool of $27.50 going to the winner. Could Brent celebrate his wedding with a victory at poker?

The Winner ($27.50):

Ben Day

PLACE Name: Busted By:
11 Brent Pirolli Cory Stevenson
10 Micha Sawyer Cory Stevenson
9 Jerry Pickering Josh Cowan
8 Drew Wood Luke Shortridge
7 Tim Dugan Luke Shortridge
6 Josh Cowan Ray Welch
5 Ray Welch Ben Day
4 Luke Shortridge Ben Day
3 Chris Rutkowski Ben Day
2 Cory Stevenson Ben Day

Ben took out Ray with a straight flush, then rolled over the rest of the competition, while soon-to-be married man, Brent Pirolli was the first to bust out of the tournament.

The time was much past the beginning of the next day, but there was still another game of poker to play. With only ten players left, and the winner looking to take a cool $25 home with him, who would it be?

The Winner ($27.50):

Ray Welch

PLACE Name: Busted By:
10 Josh Cowan Brent Pirolli
9 Jerry Pickering Micah Sawyer
8 Chris Rutkowski Cory Stevenson
7 Micha Sawyer Ben Day
6 Ben Day Ray Welch
5 Brent Pirolli Luke Shortridge
4 Drew Wood Ray Welch
3 Cory Stevenson Ray Welch
2 Luke Shortridge Ray Welch

After the best man busted the groom, Ray over came Drew's Ace-King suited and slowly ripped through the rest of the players for the win, winning, however, on what he himself admitted was a "lucky hand." Sometime you need a little luck in poker . . . and sometimes you need a lot of it.
