September 03 2004
The Oregon Poker Tour started the month of September with two normal sized games for the OPT. The first game of the night had eleven players in it. Would Josh Cowan take back third place on the OPT Leaderboard, or would someone else keep him from that goal? Could Co-founder Dugan extend his lead over the rest of the field? Would Jerry Pickering win his first game this year?

The Winner ($26.50):
Silas Tsang |

Silas won his second game in two weeks, placing himself third on the OPT Leaderboard, bumping Cory down one spot by $1.
The second game of the night was played a little differently. The second game of September 3 was:
A Shotgun Tournament
To put it simply, all the tables in play (in this case, two tables of 6 players), played down to one player. In other words, unlike our normal tournaments where the players are moved to keep the tables balanced, and then the final 6-8 players combine into the final table, each table was left alone to play down to one player each.

Twelve players...all one has to do is beat the other five players at their own table before taking out the winning from the other table to claim the victory. This means one only had to play against six players.

Co-founder Dugan against Cory: A battle that was meant to happen between these two. This friendly rivaly was about to come to a head.
Second Place ($5.00) |

The Winner ($24.00):
Co-founder Tim Dugan |
NOTE: The placement is based on the time the player busted out. |
Dugan won the tournament he proposed...kind of makes you wonder about that, doesn't it?
